Yes we should always find time to forgive, but to what meassure? or Should there be a measure? I have heard the saying forgive and forget, but sometimes when we practice this we tend to fall right back into the same problem because we forgot? So should we say forgive and remember? What is the resolution to this repeating act of forgiving?

Last night I posted this thread in search of an answer and today I got it. I learned that there is no measure to forgiveness it is a constant flowing action. The saying to forgive and forget is just that because if we forgive and remember, we are not forgiving at all but holding on to the pain as if where waiting for it to resurface again through the person that you claimed to have forgiven. I learned that forgiving a person is for me and not for them. Letting go of all the hurt and resentment releases me to be free and give me the strength to live my life. Once you learn to forgive, you deactivate the power of control that you allowed to be placed on your life, and if you get hurt again then you have to forgive again, but never give the pain or resentment the power to control you, your life, and your actions. FORGIVENESS IS FOR ME AND IT CAN BE FOR YOU AS WELL...
